PROPOSAL GROUP INSTALLATION ART (INDIVIDUAL) (TASK 7)

Abstract
The introduction briefly describes the issue, concept and subject matter of the project. The problem statement further outlines the issue that is the core of the project, and details why the issue is chosen whereas the objectives are a list of what is intended to achieve in this project. The hypothesis describes the initial expectations of the outcome of this project before the project is finished. Installation art for the group is about littering issue. The purpose of making this project is to make the audience realize and appreciate about littering issue and also the way to avoid littering issue problem in their daily lives. Our installation art develops from our idea with research about littering issue and a way to solve the problem about the littering issue to give avoid for humanity.
A brief outline of the research and development of ideas for the project is detailed in the methodology, and the literature review talks about what research material has been used in this project. The process details a step-by-step walkthrough on how the project is carried out, and the conclusion reflects on whether or not the outcome reflects the hypothesis, and what problems have risen during the working on the project.
1.0       Introduction
Nicolas. 2005, said. Installation art also is known as temporary or permanent, The Installation art constructed in spaces like museum, gallery, and public spaces. Susan buckhingman. 2008, said. Environmental issue in recent time is now the serious issue and the consequences of environmental issue like haze pollution, littering, water pollution and air pollution cause sickness, and the situation is not safe for occupied. Environmental issue must be taken seriously because impact for next generation and thinning ozone. The problem is about littering the negative attitude of people on littering and its consequences.
.           Bereau Basis, 2011, said. 3D wall art to provide an extra dimension to interior walls and compliment just about any room in the house. 3D wall art will bring your walls to life, its mean give peaceful to who person that’s inside the room that have wall art and can give release tension for the people when they look beautiful 3D wall art. Modern day society is defined by style and innovative thinking. Wall art strives to give new life to your home or business. From that I use the rubbish like glass bottle, plastic bottle and all about the rubbish for represent the artwork assignment for installation art. The metaphor is durable, strong and for present about the garbage effect.

1.1       Problem Statement
People attitude that like littering assumes this things just small matter, in fact this is serious matter. Littering getting worse without realizing from our attitude maybe because lazy to littering the proper place, mostly this thing happen because of the people are irresponsible. This problem must be varied, (Jean scheid. 2006). This is a mind-set that needs to be changed and this is what this project aims to do via installation art.

1.2       Objective
In the objective, have 3 types of objective
First, research and understand the meaning of installation art, attitude of people and about littering. Reading based on the books and website.
Second, analyse the littering, attitude of people, combine and develop ideas and concepts trough the understanding of the research material.
Lastly, apply the littering and attitude of people in my Installation art. 3D wall art use to make people understand about the negative attitude of people on littering and its consequences.

1.3       Hypotheses
Hypotheses in this research to conveying the message for humanity and hope they appreciate this beautiful created in order to reduce the contamination occurred on this earth. For installation art gift human awareness that we can be seen. We create installation art in 3D wall art to making a person knows about the effect of pollution like we issue littering.
1.4       Methodology
Process to do project
1.4.1    Research and Take photo
Take the photo garbage and research about negative attitude of people on littering and its consequences. Studies are done about littering and about which causes it to happen is all around us. Through newspapers, magazines, books or websites for understanding why the people do littering. It’s like in introduction, the human will do littering and leave the garbage when they see surrounding area has garbage and if the people sit in a clean area they will not littering in the area, that is an attitude of people. In human mind littering behaviour not wrong and others people will be a clean the trash.

Take the photo at many areas of garbage.
1.4.2    Sketches
The pictures below are the initial sketches for the installation layout.

Figure 2: Initial layout sketches
Figure 3: Initial layout sketches
Figure 4: Initial layout sketches
Figure 5: Initial layout sketches
Figures 5 to 8 are the initial sketches of the layout for the installation. At first it concentrates more on the solutions to recycling, rather than actually focusing on the core problem itself. Then it gradually moves into the direction of showing how negative attitudes affect littering. These layouts do not work as they are too simple and literal to understand, and therefore more ideas are then developed.
Figure 6: Layout concept sketch
Figure 9 seems to lean a bit closer to what the entire project intends to convey, but even then this is much too literal in sending the core message to people. In other words, the problem with the sketch in figures 5 to 9 are that people may find it easy to understand what the installation intends to show, that they may not be prompted to think things through at all.
Figure 7: Initial layout sketch
Figure 10 leans just a little closer to the final layout, in which it is suggested that the outline of a brain, drawn to connect with the hand, is drawn. This seems to work well at first, and is the sketch in which the project is based on at first before the shape of the brain outline resembled more of a speech bubble. This then prompted one final sketch:
Figure 8: Final layout sketch
Figure 11 depicts a sketch of a speech bubble connected to a hand drawn on the floor, where the inside of the speech bubble is to be filled with a few words. At first the idea is to place a large question mark in the speech bubble, but the idea is rejected as it may evoke a sense of uncertainty. The sketch in Figure 11 is the sketch that the project is based on.

1.6       Experiment
One of the experiments done for this project is to identify the types of litter that will be used to create the installation. It has been suggested that perishable rubbish such as banana peels are used in this project, but using rubbish that degrades easily may pose problems to the installation in the long run.

     1.      Bottle, attempting to stick bottle onto wall with double-sided tape.

     2.      The bottle falls onto the floor after a few seconds.

One of the experiments done in this installation is  to attempt to stick bottles and glass shards onto  the wall with double-sided tape.

The bottle falls down after a few seconds of being  mounted on the wall with double-sided tape. A  similar experiment is done using glass shards from  broken bottles which also lead to the same    outcome

        3.      Filling bottles with water

4  .      Bottles and glass shards placed on the floor

In the end, it is decided that the bottles and the  shards will be used to form the shape of the hand  on the floor. To ensure the bottles will stay in  place, they are filled with water as in figure 3, and  placed and arranged around the outline of the  hand as in Figure 4, together with the glass shards.

1.8       Conclusion
The hypothesis of the project is achieved in the end, as the final outcome turned out as a wall art and floor art. The problems that arose while working on the project is poor time management, In this project, researches play many roles in the attempt of creating our installation, many research had been done by us and this task done by us even it not successful like our plan.

PROPOSAL INDIVIDUAL INSTALLATION ART (TASK 5)

1.0       Introduction
Nicolas. 2005, said. Installation art can be either temporary or permanent. The installation art constructed in spaces as museum and galleries, as well public spaces.
Things that visualize back or act back the event or incidence that was happen known of re-enact. Re-enact sketch the outline on the floor using the chalk and masking tape to sketch and follow the outline body. (Henry C. Lee. 2001).
The assignment is part of student’s life. The feeling of student when they doing their assignment. How I feel if I have the assignment is my project for installation art. The feel is part of emotion. Sometimes when student set the assignment they will feel diligent and lazy to do. For my opinion have many type of emotion when the student get the assignment like diligent and lazy. For diligent, students sometimes they like to do the assignment, they have mood to do some work, sometimes they made the assignment as a hobby for them, have the supporter from friend, family, lecturer and special one boost their mood to do assignment. True From my observation why student lazy, maybe because student have the personal problem, they cannot separate the personal problem with study. Students don’t have the money, don’t have the spirit, like delay the work and maybe they think this work is not important, don’t have the mood, tired and stressed. From that I use the paddy for represent the artwork assignment for installation art. The metaphor is durability, strong and means much to myself. From that the metaphor represents myself it is because paddy the more outcome or seeds the paddies have, the more it bends lower. Me as a human being, the more knowledge I have the humble I should.

1.1       Problem Statement
Have 2 types of student when they get the assignment, student will feel diligent and lazy, why student diligent, diligent student often get what they want because they work hard. Diligent person like to busy themselves then they smile and get started. Lazy, why student lazy, because sometimes student feel and think of don’t want to do, sometimes students have the personal problem, they pressured and they forget, if they forget to do the assignment then they remember again the assignment then they will be lazy.

1.2       Objective
In the objective, have 3 types of objective first, research and understand the meaning of installation art, re-enact and emotion. Reading based on the books and web.
Second objective is analysed the re-enact, emotion, installation art, from my research and understanding.
Third objective is applied the emotion and re-enact in my installation art. My installation art make the outline and do the line for differentiated diligent and lazy then put the paddy in the outline two colour white and black, white for diligent and black for lazy.

1.3       Idea Development
At the first,  get the idea for assignment installation art, from watching the movie about the investigators, like CSI Miami and blue blood, if have the murder victim, investigators will sketch the outline and follow the position of murder victim.
Do the research from idea about the crime scene, sketch outline and use chalk and masking tape and follow the position.
Third sketch the outline body on paper, material to sketch outline using pen.
 Idea sketch installation art:
Figure 1: Outline pen, my own sketch, (2013).
Sketch the outline like my body and on the floor and make the position body. diligent and lazy, and make from the research about the crime scene body sketch. Sketch on the floor is simple but unique and easy put the material.

Figure 2: The position body, my own sketch, 2013.
Sketch the outline on the floor like this position. The position show by right hand is the hardworking and diligent, the left hand show the lazy.

Figure 3: The material ‘paddy’, my own sketch, 2013.
Sketch from my idea the paddy put in the outline body.

Figure 4: Different colour, my own sketch, 2013.
Put the paddy in the outline different colour black and white, black show the lazy students and white is diligent student.

1.4       Methodology
Process to do the project,
1.4.1    Interview
The interview focus on personal problem, diligent and lazy to the assignment and interview shows the result of people diligent and lazy. From the interview, make the video and ask student what they feel if have the assignment. Found the per cent of diligent and lazy, Diligent is 55 % and lazy is 45%.
1.4.2    Research and Take Photo
Take the photo and research about the crime scene body sketch, using the chalk and masking tape to make the outline, why they use the chalk and masking tape because can follow the outline body and easy to sketch the position body:
Figure 5: Outline drawing victim. Fotostock, 2013
Research from website, outline body murder victim by investigators, use the chalk make the outline.

1.5       Experiment
In the experiment have 2 steps. First do the outline like body and put the glue and paddy in the outline. Spray the paddy different colour black and white. Experiment the paddy durable and strong when applied. Second steps, colour the paddy use poster colour.
Figure 8: Spray paddy

Figure 9: different colour

1.5       Installation process/ Outcomes
In my installation art I have 9 processes. I do the process in 3 weeks. I use technique re-enact.
First choose the place.
Figure 10: Place to put installation art
Second take the picture place.

1.6       Conclusion
In the conclusion, installation are gives me a lot of inspiration, innovation and creativity. I learn many things from the installation from start until beginning I do this experiment, and I get more knowledge from the installation start from subject matter to outcomes result. All the technique in installation I try using to experiment in my installation. Furthermore, Installations also give a chance to explore what I want to do and what I like. About my presentation, first presentation I need more picture about the diligent and lazy as the example of my research, second presentation, I need to make the colorful of paddy because for show the people have numerous manners. Installation art make me improve the knowledge about how to arrange the work and make the people think about what I do in installation art and for objective its success from the research, analysis and applied for installation art.

WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY (TASK 1)

PHOTOGRAPHY
The word photography comes from two ancient Greek words photo, for "light," and graph, for "drawing." "Drawing with light" is a way of describing photography. When a photograph is made, light or some other form of radiant energy, such as X rays, is used to record a picture of an object or scene on a light-sensitive surface. Today, photography has become a powerful means of communication and a mode of visual expression that touches human life in many ways. For example, photography has become popular as a means of crystallizing memories. Most of the billions of photographs taken today are snapshots casual records to document personal events such as vacations, birthdays, concert, plants, animal and weddings.
Photographs are used extensively by newspapers, magazines, books, and television to convey information and advertise products and services. Practical applications of photography are found in nearly every human endeavor from astronomy to medical diagnosis to industrial quality control. Photography extends human vision into the realm of objects that are invisible because they are too small or too distant, or events that occur too rapidly for the naked eye to detect. A camera can be used in locations too dangerous for humans. Photographs can also be objects of art that explore the human condition and provide aesthetic pleasure. For millions of people, photography is a satisfying hobby or a rewarding career.
Method of  Photography. The first camera for photography is camera Obscura. The Camera Obscura had been known since ancient times. It was first detailed in writing by artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci.  Meaning literally "darkened room," it was originally a room completely sealed from light except for a very small hole in one wall. An image of the outside world--houses, trees, and even people--could be projected, upside down and reversed right-to-left, onto a wall or white screen placed opposite the opening. Later the camera Obscura was reduced in size until it became a small portable box. It was equipped with a lens and a mirror at a 45-degree angle, which reflected the image upward and focused it on a viewing screen. This was a great aid to artists in making sketches on location, but there was not yet a way to capture directly and permanently the camera Obscura's images. Around the year 1800, Thomas Wedgwood made the first known attempt to capture the image in a camera obscura by means of a light-sensitive substance. He used paper or white leather treated with silver nitrate. Although he succeeded in capturing the shadows of objects placed on the surface in direct sunlight, and even made shadow-copies of paintings on glass, it was reported in 1802.
Figure 1: Camera Obscura,

The Types of Photography is like portrait, This picture portrait is now famous for model is like for smile and the sharp of picture and can for makes the picture Passport, or etc. One of the oldest photographic portraits known, made by Joseph Draper of New York, in 1839[8] or 1840, of his sister, Anna Katherine Draper. The oldest surviving permanent photograph of the image formed in a camera was created in 1826 or 1827 by the French inventor Joseph Nicéphore Niépce   Landscape too is the types of Photography, the landscape is like take Picture Mountains, sea and etc. Furthermore, Lighting too the types of photography, the lighting of photography is like to support the picture to look beauty and have the effect lighting. Lighting for outdoor portrait also types of photography. Because daylight is the most natural source of light, many of us do not consider its ever-changing qualities. The colour temperature of daylight in the early morning or late afternoon causes photographs to be warmer or to have an orange cast, whereas the same shot at midday will be cooler or bluer in appearance. Bright sun in te middle of the day will also create harsh shadows under the eyes and may cause your subject to squint. By contrast, dull weather, particularly with little shadow detail. Your camera will record this light with a blue feel and skin tones will look quite cool.

The first founder of photography is from photographs were called sun pictures, because sunlight itself was used to create the image. Mankind has been a maker of images at least since the cave paintings of some 20,000 years ago. With the invention of photography, a realistic image that would have taken a skilled artist hours or even days to draw could be recorded in exact detail within a fraction of a second.  Conclusion photography is very important for people to communicate because no photography people difficult to understand. If photography does not exist perhaps the world is not perfect and some people cannot get a simple way to understand and appreciate and know what it is photography, and photography is the best way to think of more creative and beautiful pictures and interesting. this world without photography will be bored.
